The Hornby Home Team (Julia and Brandon Hornby, REALTORS® with Nest Realty) runs www.thehornbyhometeam.com. This policy explains in plain English what information we collect on the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean The Hornby Home Team.

When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, what you're interested in (for example buying, selling, or investing), and your message. If you create an account in our property search, we also collect your login details, saved searches, favorite listings, and your alert preferences.

This can include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the listings you look at, and how you got to our site. We collect it through cookies and similar tools (see "Cookies and Analytics" below).

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Answer your questions and get back to you
  • Provide real estate services, such as helping you buy, sell, or invest in property
  • Send you listing alerts and saved-search updates you've asked for
  • Send occasional market updates or marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Our brokerage. We are licensed with Nest Realty, so your information may be shared with Nest Realty as needed to provide real estate services and keep required records.
  • Service providers. We use trusted companies to run our business, including Webflow (website hosting and forms), IDX Broker (MLS property search and accounts), and email and analytics tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • People involved in your transaction. With your permission, we may share information with lenders, attorneys, title companies, inspectors, or other agents involved in your transaction.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to legal process, or to protect our rights, our clients, or others.

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We and our service providers (such as Webflow, IDX Broker, and analytics providers like Google Analytics) may use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your searches, and see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some features, such as saved searches, may not work properly.

Property Search (IDX)

Listing information on our site comes from the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS® through IDX Broker. It is provided for consumers' personal, non-commercial use and is considered reliable but not guaranteed. When you use the property search or create an account, IDX Broker also processes your information under its own privacy policy.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections on our site. No website or online system is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our site links to other websites, such as Instagram, Facebook, and Nest Realty. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please review their privacy policies.

Your Privacy Rights

  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your information
